![]() ![]() To be clear the Admiralty Pattern (AP) Number is purely numeric and in this case bears no relation to the year of manufacture ie AP No 1900A is not year 1900. The serial number dates to production year of 1944 The pattern AP No 1900A, was m.ade for deck use. Twin turrets with rarer dessication valves, the left shoulder inscribed Barr & Stroud 7X CF41 Glasgow & London, and the right inscribed AP No 1900A/Serial No 6182" British patent No 435220/1934. This fine pair, within original leather case, leather lanyard and eye lens covers present. They were of particular use in Low Light conditions, because of the configuration of the Porro 11 Prisms. ![]() This is a nice pair of type CF41 binoculars carried by the British Royal Naval fleet, they were mainly used in Naval reconnaissance during WW2 and also in the immediate post war period. ![]()
